Mählers is launching a new system of combined control for truck road maintenance equipment.

The new control system MC2 (Mählers Control system 2) meets EN 13849-1 safety standards, applicable from 1 January 2012, and can be combined for the operation of road graders, side and front ploughs. Most of the functions are largely controlled by one joystick and the CANBUS system, and can control existing equipment. Operation of all equipment is now from the new control unit.

– “This is absolutely the best I’ve driven with, and it’s now super easy and simple to control the truck plough and planing equipment,” says Stellan Olofsson, Olofssons Åkeri, Näsmark.

Stellan Olofsson is one of the drivers included in Mählers’ project group when the new control system was developed, and now most of Stellan’s wishes and points of view have been incorporated into the MC2.

– “With his extensive experience as a plough operator, Stellan has been an invaluable asset in our development work,” says Ingemar Nyberg at Mählers.

The new MC2 control system and Mählers’ new planing blade, HB5N, are both available to view at Mählers’ stand at Maskinexpo.
