As environmental regulations tighten and the extraction of natural gravel must be reduced, sanding of the country’s roads is now done with crushed rock, which has led to increased wear on the operators’ snow plows. As a solution to this, Mählers now offers a series of Heavy Duty side plows.
- Above all, it is the outermost parts of our side plows that wear out the most, and since our plows are modularly built, it is the third and outermost part that we have reinforced with wear steel on the most exposed parts, says Oscar Nyberg, designer at Mählers.
Oscar further explains that those who own one of Mählers’ latest side plows, the so-called C-series, can buy only the last part of the plow and easily screw it on themselves.
- Yes, this is one of the many advantages of our modularly built plows. You can also switch from a low-throwing outer part to a high-throwing outer part and keep the first two parts of the side plow. In this way, you can adapt your side plow to the conditions prevailing at a given time.
Oscar Nyberg also says that the HD plows are marked with a welded HD logo on the front and back. This is to make it easy for the second-hand market to identify whether it is an HD or standard plow.
The HD plows or if you just want to buy the HD part, are available for immediate delivery.
